    Beating the Holiday Stress

    Stress is often a by-product of the holidays. The traveling, shopping, parties and general busyness of this time of year can lead to stress and exhaustion. But it doesn’t have to! Stay on top of your health and wellness this year by following some of these helpful tips:

    1. Exercise: Burn those extra calories from Thanksgiving dinner and holiday cocktails by sweating it out. 30 minutes of exercise, 3 to 4 times per week is a great way to get your heart rate up, lower your blood pressure and clear your mind. You’ll be ready to face holiday events with a renewed energy!

    2. Eat Healthy:
    Headed to another party? Eat a healthy meal beforehand, and skip the high-calorie, fat-laden hors d’oeuvres. If you must indulge, make one trip to the food table, eat small portions, and spend the remainder of time chatting with friends.

    3. Hydrate: Planning to partake in some holiday spirits? In addition to your daily recommended intake of water, sip on the H2O between alcoholic drinks to stay hydrated. Flush toxins and avoid the post-party hangover… your body will thank you!

    4. Remember the Reason for the Season: Whatever holiday you celebrate, remember your reason for celebrating. Take time to appreciate family, friends and all of the good in your life.
